Over a decade ago, two girls began their Jewish journeys at Jewish Family Experience (JFE), NCSY’s Hebrew school on the North Shore for unaffiliated families.

Both transitioned to NCSY while in high school and continued to carve out their own paths toward greater Jewish connection and commitment.

In recent weeks, both girls celebrated their marriages – and are building Torah homes – something no one would have imagined 10 years ago.

Annie Geister (r.) married Josh Malinkovitch, another NCSY alum, in January. The couple is now living in Chicago, where both are in college.

Maxine Kalika married Yirmiyohu Tkach this December. The couple now lives in Israel, where Yirmiyohu is learning in yeshiva. The couple will return to Chicago in the fall where Yirmiyohu will complete his law degree, and Maxine will continue working in Jewish outreach.
