Our day started off bright and early at 5:30 a.m. when we met up together at the airport. We left Chicago at 7:30 and landed at LaGuardia at around 10:30. We started the day off right away and went to the Orthodox Union and learned about Kosher foods and what makes food Kosher. There, we ate yummy pasta and salad for lunch.
Next, we headed to Staten Island and went on a ferry boat around the Statue of Liberty. It was an amazing view. Then, we went to Ground Zero, which is the 9/11 memorial. We met with two Jewish police officers who shared their experiences with the police force.
Then, we got on the bus and headed to the Museum of Illusions, and it was cool to see different optical illusions. We ate a delicious dinner at Holy Schnitzel in Queens. We ended the day at Tomchei Shabbos where we packed boxes of food for Jewish families in the New York area who are less fortunate.
Lastly, we went to our hotel and fell fast asleep. It was a great day!
