Midwest NCSY is pleased to announce the appointment of Jacob Wedgle as the new Chicago Director and Director of Community Engagement.
Jacob replaces former Chicago Director Kobi Greenfield, who married and moved to Israel this summer. We thank Kobi for his dedication to Chicago NCSY and wish him much success in the future.
Jacob, a Denver native, attended Skokie Yeshiva for high school and then studied at Yeshivat Netiv Aryeh in Jerusalem for two years.
Jacob earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Yeshiva University’s Sy Syms School of Business. He also served as Associate Director of Boston NCSY and as part of the educational staff at Camp Mesorah.
Last year Jacob and his wife, Hannah, and their son Akiva moved to Chicago, where Jacob worked in real estate management. He says he is excited to return to his passion of inspiring the next generation.
“I can’t express how thrilled and excited I am to join the NCSY team,” says Jacob. “I am extremely passionate about building upon the amazing momentum from last year. I’m eager to embark on this fantastic adventure with all the teens, parents, and staff.”
While Jacob’s primary focus will be on teens, as Director of Community Engagement, Jacob will also be charged with helping build Midwest NCSY’s presence across Chicagoland and helping raise critical funds to support NCSY’s mission.
In his spare time, Jacob enjoys learning Torah, sports (he’s a die-hard Denver Nuggets fan), music, and spending time with his family and friends.
Jacob will assume his new role at the start of the school year.
