On May 18, more than 50 children and their families celebrated a year of Jewish learning and connection at Jewish Family Experience’s End-of-Year Award Ceremony and Celebration.
Jewish Family Experience (JFE), Midwest NCSY’s Hebrew School on Chicago’s North Shore, provides a meaningful and accessible Jewish education to unaffiliated Jewish children and their families each Sunday.
The End-of-Year Celebration opened with a family learning workshop focused on Israel. It was followed by a ceremony honoring and celebrating each of JFE’s students.
“My children absolutely love JFE,” says Robyn Witkov, who attended the event with children Leo and Margot. “This is our third year with JFE, and my children look forward to going weekly.”
Like Robyn, Lidiya Gurevich says her children, Sammy and Liana, were “eager to learn” every Sunday morning at JFE.
“We have truly enjoyed the amazing JFE Sunday school and the community it provides,” says Lidiya. “We are truly happy to have [JFE] by our side to help us guide our children on the right pathway in Judaism.”
