Best. Summer. Ever. took on new meaning this year as 10 teens from the Midwest made it to Israel on TJJ, NCSY’s summer trip to Israel for public school teens.

Just weeks before the July 1 start date, with rockets flying from Iran to Israel, the trip was cancelled. But then the unthinkable happened – a ceasefire was announced, and TJJ was back on.

And for the 10 Midwest teens who made it to Israel – as part of the Harvey L. Miller Supporting Foundation TJJ Bus – this was a summer of miracles.

A summer of connection.

A summer of growth.

And a summer of making the most out of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity they almost missed out on.
