It’s been nearly two months since the outbreak of war in Israel, and while the initial shock may have worn off, Minneapolis JSU/NCSY continues to stand at the forefront of local efforts to help Jewish teens and their families make sense of the conflict in Israel – and the rising antisemitism in the United States.
Our Jewish Student Union (JSU) clubs, in particular, have seen unprecedented growth, with over 300 teens participating through November, an increase of 65% over this time last year. And the demand for our clubs on both public and private schools across Minneapolis and the Twin Cities has never been greater; we’re at 15 and counting.
In many instances, JSU is providing connection and community for local teens who don’t know where else to turn in these challenging times.
