Sy and Anne Okner Conclave 2019

Get pumped for the Sy and Anne Okner Conclave Winter Regional! This winter break, join teens from all over the Midwest for an incredible long weekend at a beautiful resort!!!

Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center in Schaumburg, Illinois 

 Friends, music, themed banquet, great food, awesome advisors, shopping, snow sports, inspiring guest speaker, incredible carnival, amazing Shabbat program and more!!!

The Shabbaton begins Thursday evening, December 19th at 9:30 PM and ends Monday morning, December 23rd at 11:00 AM.

Open to all 9 – 12th graders!

Early bird price (until December 1st) $299

Regular price (after December 1st) $329

(Transportation not included, cost based on your location)

Limited scholarships are available, please contact your chapter advisor for more info.

**On Sunday at Conclave, there are optional activities including a movie, shopping or skiing. Some of the activities, including skiing, do have extra costs associated. More info to follow***

What should I bring?

A general packing list will be sent to you once you complete your registration!

 

How will we travel? 

Local (Chicago area) participants have an option to take the bus from the NCSY office, located at 3200 W Touhy Ave., or you may drive yourself or a parent can drop you off. If teens choose to drive, they must turn in their keys upon arrival. Keys will be returned on Monday morning at the close of the program. Out of state participants will be traveling by coach bus. Buses depart Thursday morning/afternoon depending on your distance from Chicago, and you will return back to your city on Monday afternoon or evening. Tentative bus schedule: **Subject to change

Where will we be staying? 

Conclave this year will be held at the beautiful Renaissance Hotel in Schaumburg, IL. 

 

Can I come for only part of the time? 

Participants are not allowed to arrive late or leave early. If there are extenuating circumstances that require your teen to come late, leave early, or miss a part of the Shabbaton, please contact Shosh Friedman @ shosh@ncsy.org before registering. Without special approval, late arrivals will not be allowed to enter the Shabbaton.

 

What will we be doing at the Shabbaton?

The Shabbaton is jam packed with incredible activities! Singing, dancing, live music, a themed banquet, a carnival, snow sports, shopping, keynote speaker, engaging educational sessions, Chanukah candle lighting, and more! A more complete schedule will be sent closer to the Shabbaton date!
